Wine by the Glass
Next Riesling 2008
This month we are featuring Next Riesling 2008. This wine is perfect for those Hot humid days of summer, Enjoy this Riesling with a cold crisp salad or light lunch or just by itself. Offered by the glass at the M Lounge $10 a glass.
Winemaker Tasting Notes: Color: very pale straw with bright highlights.
Nose: Citrus blossom, orange with a hint of lime, pear, and apricot.
Flavors: Orange, white peach, pineapple, and guava.
Mouth feel: Fruity - vibrant entry, nice balance between acidity and residual sugar allowing for a crisp and clean yet round and full wine.
Recommended pairings: this Riesling would pair beautifully with flatfish (sole, flounder, etc.) in a butter/cream sauce. It would also be an ideal to pair with fruit and mild, creamy white cheeses or chicken. Click here to see our wine list.
 
Food For Thought
We are heating up in the kitchen! Starting June 1st, stop by and try our new Summer Dinner and Lunch menus. Porcini Glazed Florida Black Grouper with Crispy Fingerling Potatoes, Poached Summer Asparagus and a Sweet Corn and White Truffle Cream or try our new Summer Strawberry “Chopped” Salad.
Chef’s Playground
During the first week of June, I'm adding a “Chef’s Playground” to the Lounge menu, featuring some fresh flavors, new ideas and exciting preparations that my team has created. Also, from 4 to 6pm daily, we'll offer a new menu called “Bar Bites”, which will be a selection of appetizers and small plates ranging from $9 to $14. Some test items include Seared Diver Scallops with a Summer Sweet Pea Risotto, and Fried Goat Cheese Showered with Truffle Honey, Apples and Walnuts.
Probably the most exciting addition this summer will be the “Summer Chef Series”. I don’t want to spill the beans just yet, but look forward to 5 Food Focused dinners that may feature some of this area’s top chefs in the kitchen with me here at M. There may be a competition, there may be a secret ingredient, there will definitely be a lot of food, wine and fun! Stay tuned to our newsletter and e-blasts for upcoming information.
