Peter's Wine Pick Of The Month
For September, I am featuring a wonderful Malbec by the glass for $10.00. The Malbec grape is soft, chewy fruit with rich, strong flavors often reminiscent of black cherry or plum. Malbec wines are also perfect for aging. Pair it with slow-cooked red meats, such as stew, or with wild game.
For Zolo's Malbec, grapes are selected from the best vineyards in the best wine growing region of Mendoza. Located at various altitudes, each of these terriors provide unique characteristics. This wine is a vibrant violet color, with high-intensity flavors of black fruits, berries and raspberries. Prior to release, this Malbec is aged for eight months in new French oak barrels.
Food For Thought

Healthy cooking is becoming more popular everyday, and with a few easy tips, we can light up
the plate with less sugar and more heart healthy foods. Try adding some fruit purees in a whole grain
muffin instead of sugar, or use yogurt in a sauce instead of heavy cream. Instead of preparing heavier
starches like potatoes, substitute them with a roasted butternut squash. A well balanced diet can be
easy to follow when your kitchen is stocked with the right ingredients. Spend a day filling up your pantry
with protein heavy foods like nuts
and grains.
Here’s a list of some great ingredients to experiment with during your next culinary adventure:
- oat meal
- grains (quinoa, bulghar wheat)
- brown rice
- leafy greens
- flaxseed oil
- greek yogurt
- fresh fruits such as papaya, grapefruit, seasonal berries and coconut
- zucchini and squash (use them instead of noodles in a pasta dish)
- eat raw foods as often as possible, as the vitamins and nutrients will be retained
- include foods high in fiber, protein, antioxidants, omega 3 fatty acids, iron and calcium.
Hope to see you at M soon. Good Luck and Good Eating - Cheers,
Chef Brian Roland

GUEST REVIEWS
"Our dining experience, Brunch on Sunday, was really fine. Service is excellent. Views of the water are
outstanding - we requested a waterside table and they made a point of fulfilling our request. ! Food was
very good and beautifully presented. M's Waterfront Grille is one of our favorite restaurants... good value
especially when you check out their early dining summer selections. We use to frequent it when it was
Maxwell's... and since their lovely remodel... we enjoy it even more."
"We had a wonderful time at the M Waterfront Grill. Our group ranged in age from 4-94 and all enjoyed a fabulous meal. The food and view of the marina was outstanding. The pistachio crusted veal chop with pumpkin ravioli was possibly the best restaurant meal I've ever had."
